Whether in the classroom, at a music school, or in an ensemble: With its clear pitch of “d,” robust construction, and warm, full-bodied sound, this tone block is an ideal addition to any xylophone or Orff instrument set. Its well-thought-out design and precise intonation make it a reliable instrument for daily musical practice.

Sonor – Tradition, Quality, and Responsibility

For generations, the German manufacturer Sonor has stood for excellence in instrument making. Especially in the field of elementary music education, instruments from the Primary Series enjoy an outstanding reputation. They combine tonal precision with exceptionally high build quality—all while adhering to sustainable production standards.

The Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Grand Bass Sound Module "d" also meets these standards across the board. All woods used are FSC-certified and sourced from responsibly managed forests. The combination of a Pao Rosa soundboard and a birch plywood resonance box ensures not only a sturdy construction but also outstanding tonal performance.

Technical details of the Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Grand Bass Sound Module "d"

The instrument’s soundboard is made of FSC-certified Pao Rosa—a particularly resonant wood with warm resonance and long-lasting durability. It measures 44 mm in width and 20 mm in thickness. These dimensions offer excellent sound projection as well as a comfortable playing experience—for both beginners and advanced students.

The tuning of the sound module is based on the fundamental note “d,” making it ideal for a wide range of musical contexts. Whether as a bass foundation, for rhythmic accompaniment, or for polyphonic arrangements—the note “D” is highly versatile and forms a central foundation in many keys.

The natural finish of the soundboard highlights the wood’s grain and underscores the high quality of craftsmanship. Since each board is individually tuned, there may be minimal variations in dimensions—a sign of the careful craftsmanship and tuning of each individual soundboard.

The soundbox is made of multi-layered birch plywood and is also FSC-certified. It was specifically designed to amplify low frequencies and ensures a powerful, long-lasting, and warm sound—perfect for daily use in the classroom or during performances.

Why the Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Large Bass Tone Block “d” Stands Out

The Sonor Primary KSP 50 X Large Bass Sound Module "d" offers the highest quality, both in craftsmanship and sound. Thanks to its low pitch, it contributes significantly to the overall harmonic sound and enables nuanced musical expression.

Thanks to its robust construction, it is ideally suited for daily use in schools, preschools, and music schools. At the same time, the use of FSC-certified materials ensures environmentally conscious, sustainable music-making—a value that is becoming increasingly important in modern pedagogy.
