SPL Transient Designer 4 Modell 9842 Product Details

Description

SPL Transient Designer 4 Model 9842

The Transient Designer offers a completely new technique for dynamic processing in order to shape the attack and sustain of a signal with minimal effort. It is not the level of the signal that is affected, as is the case with compression, but rather the dynamic progression of a signal.

The effects expand the repertoire of sound design and correction immensely: Percussive signals of all kinds, i.e. kick drums, snares, toms, congas, etc., can be shortened or lengthened on the decay side and given more "kick" or flattened on the attack side. The same applies to almost all other signals: amplify or reduce the pick sound of an acoustic guitar, make the sound of the strings last longer, "electronic" the pedal on a grand piano, whistle back the slap bass a little or give it more attack, etc.

The importance of processing with the Transient Designer in terms of placing and embedding signals in the mix can hardly be overstated, especially since its effect is neither comparable nor reproducible with conventional dynamics processors.

The Transient Designer impresses with its extremely efficient, intuitive operability - only two controls ("Attack" and "Sustain") need to be operated per channel. The adaptive automated time constant control automatically optimizes all settings according to the input signal. Two channels each can be linked using the Link function.
