These include public facilities, educational institutions and commercial enterprises as well as theaters and other businesses in the amusement and entertainment business.With only one height unit in the rack, the compact BD-MP4K saves space by eliminating the need for separate audio/video playback devices in an installation rack. It handles a wide range of media and file formats on discs (Blu-ray/DVD/CD), USB sticks, SD cards and SMB network shares on a NAS or remote server via Gigabit Ethernet.

For integrated media systems where remote control beyond infrared is desired, the BD-MP4K offers both an RS-232C interface and an IP network connection. The RS-232C interface allows seamless and reliable communication between devices with status feedback, while Gigabit Ethernet simplifies integration into larger systems and thus the mutual control of components.In addition to remote control operation, all playback functions can also be called up locally via the control panel if required. Separate locking functions for the control panel, disc tray and IR remote control prevent accidental changes or unauthorized use if required.Screens or televisions can be connected quickly and easily via two plug-and-play HDMI connections on the rear, which support both HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 (audio only) formats.

When it comes to professional sound quality and integration into commercial environments, the BD-MP4K is a thoroughbred Tascam product. The rear panel features individual connections for 7.1 surround sound, enabling absolutely realistic and detailed sound reproduction in any installation. Professional balanced stereo analog outputs via XLR connectors and unbalanced RCA stereo outputs are also available.
