The TELEFUNKEN electroacoustics microphones are known for their excellent detailed acoustic reproduction. Considering that they are by their uncompromising high quality Production for small studios or home recording enthusiasts realtiv expensive for just that user's area was the RFT series of microphones created.
The RFT-tube condenser microphone uses a series developed in America electronics combined new vintage tubes and other standard parts of europäiscen manufacturers. In this way we were able to produce a cheaper alternative to the more expensive microphones without verzeichten on the quality features you expect from a TELEFUNKEN electroacoustics microphone.
In the RFT AK-47 MkII amplifier used includes a new proprietary circuit with a NOS Telefunken EF-732 tube, and a special output transformer, which is in its properties an exact replica of the historic BV8 transformer that our U-47 and U-48 microphones are used. The two-sided large diaphragm capsule is subject to prior to installation in the RFT AK-47, and after finishing the extensive tests in our laboratories.
The TELEFUNKEN EF-732 tube is very similar to the AC-701-tube with its velvety character to the overall sound of the microphone. When this tube is used together with the exact replication of the past BV8 transformer, begins a magic for you as a user listening experience. But it goes further: The layout of the circuit has been designed specifically to ensure maximum signal to noise ratio and minimal cross talk between components.
Sonically, the RFT AK-47 MkII is a remarkably good sounding microphone with a very present but hard character, in which it resembles in many ways the historical models M-49 and U-47/48 not. The result is a microphone with superior detail resolution at high frequencies and a tight bass response and sound, without the widespread depression in the upper mid-frequency range, which is often found in microphones in this price range. Instead, the microphone sounds more soft and airy like microphones that normally cost three times the RFT AK-47.
