True Phantom is a dual-channel P48 phantom power supply. Compared to conventional phantom power, True Phantom achieves lower distortion and improved signal-to-noise ratio. Based on patented technology, True Phantom enables unparalleled performance from your microphone. Circuit Topology

For powering condenser microphones, IEC 61938 phantom power has been the standard for decades. Although it is a proven technology, the current implementation has some drawbacks. For example, the microphone signal is not fully available to the microphone preamplifier. A 6K8 resistor places a load on the microphone's circuitry. This causes distortion and reduces the available signal. In addition, when IEC 61938 phantom power is implemented, isolation from the rest of the preamplifier or mixer circuit is not complete, which can adversely affect noise performance.

True Phantom uses a patented technology that overcomes these problems. The circuitry consists of a low-noise internal power supply that powers an active, low-noise P48 phantom power circuit. True Phantom's electronics allow the microphone to operate at idle, which lowers distortion and improves noise performance compared to the current implementation.
