Description

This handpan, made of high-quality nitrided steel, is the best choice for professional players. Due to the high hardness, very bright overtones can be produced. The broad and ethereal timbre is very popular with most handpan players. Nitrided handpans are better suited for percussive, fast playing, e.g. for drummers, djembe or cajon players. They do not resonate as long and have a duller sound. When played faster, the tones are more clearly separated and the tones do not "mix" as much, as the sound dies away more quickly after the strike. Making and tuning a handpan requires the utmost precision and a lot of manual work. Only experienced and well-trained tuners are able to produce such a well-sounding instrument.
