The Union Audio ORBIT.6 Isolator with X -Fader (eq.xfader) is a high-quality 19" rackmount module for expanding the orbit.6 analog rotary mixer. Developed by Andy Rigby-Jones and manufactured in Cornwall, UK, this module combines a precise Innofader crossfader with a powerful dual 4-band isolator - for maximum control, creative transitions and uncompromising sound quality.

Dual 4-band isolator for precise frequency processing

The integrated dual 4-band isolator enables drastic yet musical interventions in the frequency spectrum. With crossover frequencies at 85 Hz, 550 Hz and 3800 Hz, targeted breakdowns, bass drops or high frequencies can be realized. The high EQ attenuation of > -80 dB guarantees uncompromising isolator performance.

Innofader crossfader with mix/cut switch

The built-in Innofader ensures buttery smooth fades or precise cuts. The fader behavior can be flexibly adjusted via the mix/cut switch - from smooth transitions to fast, performative cuts. The attenuation of the crossfader is > -60 dB.

The 6-channel architecture is specially adapted to the orbit.6. The direct outputs of the orbit.6 are connected to the channel inputs of the isolator module via 6× dual 6.3 mm jacks. Inputs 1-3 feed the X side and 4-6 feed the Y side of the crossfader.

The mixer insert is connected to the master insert of the orbit.6. External devices such as compressors, EQs or other effect processors can be integrated via the iso-insert. Two ORBIT.6 isolator modules can also be connected in series.
