Description

The SOLO/610 transmits the classic Putnam 610 console sound to the 1-channel format. In a rugged, highly versatile enclosure, the SOLO/610 full tube preamp delivers the silky vintage warmth of the original UA-610 console used by artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Van Halen. With its characteristic sound, the SOLO/610 will court any microphone, from the inexpensive entry-level model to the hi-end microphone. Due to its practical portable design, the SOLO/610, unlike stationary rack devices, can be used comfortably in the control or recording room, on stage or on the desk. Functionally reduced, yet sonically meticulous, the SOLO/610 has been carefully designed to retain the character of its vintage predecessor. It has the same solid construction and audiophile components that professionals expect from its more expensive UA siblings like the 2-610 and M610.

The SOLO/610 offers microphone and DI inputs, ideal for bass or guitar. It also features gain and level control with a wide range of clean to saturated sounds. In contrast to its predecessors, the SOLO/610 has a continuous gain control with an even greater range and thus enables more precise gain structuring and can also attenuate the input signal (variable PAD). The SOLO/610 has all the necessary features such as stable 48V phantom power, low-cut filter, phase inversion and maintains the 610's flexible dual impedance selection for both microphone and DI inputs for greater tonal versatility. In addition, the SOLO/610 includes a Thru function when used in conjunction with an amplifier, as well as ground lift and a switch for variable mic/line output levels. The SOLO/610 is handcrafted in the USA by Universal Audio.
