The perfectly balanced VSS frame made of resin and alder wood, in combination with the weighted headjoint, ensures optimum balance and a rich, resonant sound.
The ergonomic neck transition was designed to transfer the string vibrations perfectly to the body. The powerful sound of the HL5 is generated by the high-quality Aguilar AG5M pickups and the Aguilar OBP-3 preamplifier. This combination delivers a defined and assertive sound that holds its own in any mix. The active pickups provide clear, powerful lows and brilliant highs, while the OBP-3 preamp provides precise tone control.
With controls for volume, treble, midrange and bass, as well as a preamp bypass switch, the HL5's sound can be customized. This versatility makes the bass ideal for a variety of genres and playing techniques, whether in the studio, on stage or when practicing at home.
The Vox Starstream Artist HL5 is made in Japan and represents the best in craftsmanship and build quality. The alder body provides a balanced, resonant sound, while the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard offer a comfortable and responsive playing surface. With a scale length of 864 mm (34 inches) and a nut width of 46 mm, the HL5 offers optimum playability and tension for all five strings.
