The Gnome i top unit consistently implements this philosophy: a portable amp that is equipped with professional features despite its size. With its high input impedance (>10 MOhm), it is ideal for passive pickups and also offers a completely silent performance for studio or stage - even at low volumes through headphones.
Thanks to the integrated USB audio interface, the Gnome i top can be connected directly to a PC, Mac or compatible mobile device. The common sampling rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz are supported - ideal for recording, sound editing and plug-in use with your favorite DAW. And best of all, no additional driver installation is required. Simply plug it in and get started - whether for home studio recordings or for recording demos on the road.
The power amplifier is based on a modern Class D transistor circuit that delivers an output of 200 watts into 4 ohms or 130 watts into 8 ohms. The 3-band EQ allows precise sound shaping with a control range of ±15 dB each for bass, mids and treble. The user interface is logically structured: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Master are located on the front, as are the instrument input (6.35 mm mono jack) and the headphone output (6.35 mm stereo jack).
The power switch, the ground lift switch for interference-free DI use, the speaker out socket (6.35 mm mono jack), the USB type B connection and the balanced XLR DI output are located on the rear. The latter works in post-EQ mode and enables optimum integration in live and studio environments. It is connected to the mains via an IEC power socket (230V EU version).
With its compact dimensions of 170 x 118 x 45.5 mm, the Gnome i top unit is easy to transport and can even be mounted directly on a pedalboard - e.g. with the optionally available RockBoard QuickMount Type D (not included). The RockBoard Effects Pedal Bag No. 03, which is also available separately, is ideal for safe transportation. The low weight of just 0.98 kg makes the Gnome i the ideal amplifier for travelling musicians, studio workers and modern performers who demand compact equipment.
