The Transacoustic series from Yamaha is known for its uncompromising combination of traditional construction, which in turn stands for an excellent, acoustic sound enjoyment, with modern elements, such as an excellent Yamaha System 70 pickup system, which does not require large holes in the frame and achieves an unimagined fullness and depth of sound at the amplifier.

Also the used woods - a massive, hand-selected and fine-grained Engelmann spruce and a rosewood fingerboard - stand for a pearly, open and articulated sound, which is unparalleled, especially among instruments that are also equipped with a pickup. The fine top binding, the thin, hand-applied high-gloss finish and the deliberate omission of a cutaway also have a supporting effect here, restricting the unamplified sound as little as possible.
