The DTX8 series comes with the DTX-PRO module, which has exactly the same sound generation as the top-of-the-range DTX-PROX model. The birch wood shells, lacquered in the style of the Yamaha acoustic drum series, give the pads a degree of beauty previously only known from the original.

The robust and easy-to-use DTX-PRO offers drum samples recorded in the world's most renowned studios, including authentic room sound, complemented by practical KIT MODIFIER buttons that will inspire you and your creativity. The new DTX standard series offers you the essence of the upper class in a compact format.

Modern drum module: The DTX-PRO modules

The Yamaha DTX Pro module included in the scope of delivery offers professional possibilities and perfect tuning to the needs of drummers as well as maximum performance possibilities. The module contains 712 sounds in 40 kits, with the option of freely assigning 200 user kits. Furthermore, you can load your own wav samples into the module, 760 seconds (380 sec stereo) are available. If required, up to 14 different pads (Y-cables) can be connected to the ten separate trigger inputs. A recording function and a comprehensive metronome are integrated in the DTX Pro. The innovative kit modifier function includes three controls that can be used to adjust the room and effects for each channel individually. The aux-in is complemented by a master output (L/MONO+R), USB to host/device, midi out and a headphone connection. The full-dot LCD display ensures intuitive operation.

Yamaha Rec'n'Share app: Record videos with audio mix

The DTX-PRO module is compatible with the Rec'n'Share iOS/Android app and allows you to play along with playalongs and tracks that efficiently support practicing. Using the Yamaha E-Drum app, you can easily change the tempo of the accompaniment tracks, add a click track or loop individual passages. You can also use the Rec'n'Share app to record your own playing as an audio file or in combination with a video. The videos can then be edited and cut directly in the app together with the audio mix, and the result can then be published via social media.
