Yamaha P255 B Stage Piano B-Ware Product Details

Description

Why B-article? This is an exhibit in the Oschatz shop.

The Yamaha P-255 is a stage piano with a graded hammer keyboard. This means that among the 88 weighted keys coated with synthetic ivory, those for the lower tones offer more resistance than those for the higher ones, although the transition is fluid. The Pure CF Sound Engine is responsible for the sound, whereby a Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano with stereo sustain and key off samples (the release of the keys) as well as string resonances was taken. The device sounds 256-times polyphonic. 24 presets (including Organs & E-Pianos) are integrated and you can use the following effects: 4 Reverbs, 3-Band-Equalizer, Chorus, Phaser, Rotary Speaker, Tremolo, Sound Boost, Layering (double) and Splits.

Other features include a collection of ten accompanying drum rhythms with start/stop as well as intro and end functions. A recording function for ten songs with two MIDI tracks each is also integrated. On the audio side, a maximum of 80 minutes of playback/recording (16 bit & 44.1 kHz) is possible on an external USB data carrier (not included).

This is the only stage piano from Yamaha that can be mounted on an attractive stand, but can also be used on the road if required, with or without the internal stereo speakers (2×15 watts).
