For more than a decade, Yamaha’s Pacifica guitars have been among the highest-quality electric guitars and are renowned for their sound and comfort-oriented design. This model offers a compelling foundation, especially for players looking for a versatile electric guitar with precisely defined features.

The Pacifica series features bodies contoured for comfort, bolt-on necks, vintage-style vibratos, and a 5-way switch for the H-S-S pickup configuration. The Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar incorporates precisely these features and complements them with a cloud maple top, Alnico V pickups, and a push-pull coil tap function. The result is an instrument that is clearly defined in both its construction and electronics and can be used versatilely across a variety of musical styles.

Body, Neck, and Fretboard

The Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar features an alder body with a cloud maple top. This combination of materials is one of the instrument’s key features and forms the foundation of its construction. The body is complemented by a bolt-on maple neck. This bolt-on construction is a typical feature of the Pacifica series and reinforces the model’s clearly defined core specifications.

The fretboard is made of rosewood and has a radius of 350 mm. It also features a scale length of 647.7 mm and 22 frets. These specifications complete the technical profile of the Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar regarding the neck and fretboard, providing a precise understanding of the instrument’s construction. Anyone looking for a Pacifica with objectively specified materials and dimensions will find a clearly described solution here.

H-S-S pickup configuration with Alnico V

A key feature of the Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar is its H-S-S pickup configuration. It features 2 Alnico V single-coil pickups and 1 Alnico V humbucker. This pickup configuration is one of the key technical specifications and clearly defines the guitar’s electrical character. According to the description, Alnico V magnets deliver a clear, defined rhythm guitar tone with good definition in both single-coil and humbucker pickups, as well as a tight sound that doesn’t get lost in the mix.

In addition, a coil-tap function on the rear humbucker expands the tonal range from heavy distortion to an edgy single-coil tone. The fourth position on the pickup selector switch also automatically engages the coil-tap function, delivering a clear blended tone from the pair of single-coil pickups. This makes the Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar an instrument with a clearly structured and versatile pickup configuration.

Electronics and Vintage Tremolo

The Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar is equipped with a 5-position pickup selector switch. It also features a master volume control and a master tone control with a push-pull coil tap switch. This electronics setup is clearly structured and complements the H-S-S pickup configuration well. In particular, the switching function in the tone control allows for quick switching between humbucker and single-coil sounds, making it one of this model’s standout features.

The hardware is also described in detail. The guitar features a vintage tremolo with a block saddle. According to the description, this vintage tremolo with a block saddle offers excellent playability, while the heavy block saddle delivers full sustain and a voluminous tone. This setup is complemented by die-cast tuners. Thus, the Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar is described objectively and comprehensively, even in terms of its hardware.

The Yamaha Pacifica 212V QM CBR electric guitar is designed for anyone looking for an electric guitar with an alder body, cloud maple top, bolt-on maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and an H-S-S pickup configuration. The combination of 2 Alnico V single-coil pickups, 1 Alnico V humbucker, a 5-position selector switch, master volume, master tone with push-pull coil tap, and a vintage tremolo with a block saddle forms the technical foundation of this model.
