Description

Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus Sonic Blue Electric Guitar

Are you looking for a modern electric guitar with versatile electronics, comfortable playability, and a fresh look? The Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus Sonic Blue Electric Guitar combines a newly developed alder body with a slim maple neck, a maple fingerboard, and Reflectone pickups developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. As a result, the PACS+12M offers a well-thought-out setup for the stage, rehearsal room, and studio.

The Sonic Blue finish gives the instrument a bright, distinctive look with a Southern California vibe. Together with the natural-colored satin-finished maple neck and maple fingerboard, it creates a harmonious, modern aesthetic.

Modern Pacifica with Reflectone Pickups

The Pacifica series has been known for many years for its practical design. The Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus Sonic Blue electric guitar carries on this tradition with modern hardware and flexible HSS electronics.

A key feature is the Reflectone pickups, developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. Two single-coil pickups and one humbucker make up the HSS configuration and can be selected via a 5-way switch. This provides both clear and defined sounds as well as more powerful tones for rock and lead playing.

Alder body and maple neck with a C-profile

The newly designed body is made of alder, a time-tested wood in electric guitar construction. The ergonomic shape promotes a comfortable playing posture, making it suitable even for longer sessions.

The slim maple neck features a comfortable C-profile and a natural-colored satin finish. The smooth surface facilitates fluid position changes and provides a direct playing feel.

The maple fingerboard complements the instrument’s bright, clean look and is fitted with medium-sized stainless steel frets.

Stainless Steel Frets for Long-Lasting Playability

The medium-sized stainless steel frets are among the PACS+12M’s standout features. Stainless steel is exceptionally durable and offers a very smooth surface.

This is particularly noticeable during bends, as the strings glide over the fret surface with less resistance. Vibrato playing and fast melodic passages also benefit from this characteristic. At the same time, the high durability of the stainless steel frets ensures reliable playability over the long term.

Push-Pull Coil Splitting for Additional Tone Options

In addition to the 5-way switch, the Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus Sonic Blue electric guitar features a volume control and a tone control with push-pull coil splitting. This allows the humbucker to be used in yet another sound variation.

This expands the tonal possibilities of the HSS configuration without unnecessarily complicating operation. This feature is particularly useful when switching between sounds within a song or set.

Gotoh Locking Tuners and 2-Point Tremolo

The hardware includes Gotoh locking tuners, which securely hold the strings in place and make changing strings easier. The setup is complemented by a 2-point tremolo system.

This allows for everything from subtle vibrato effects to more pronounced pitch changes. The combination of locking tuners and tremolo is designed for reliable and practical use.

Sonic Blue with a Southern California Vibe

The Sonic Blue finish is one of three vibrant color options for the PACS+12M. The fresh shade pairs particularly well with the natural-colored maple neck and gives the guitar a distinctive, modern character.

If you’re looking for an electric guitar that stands out visually from classic standard colors, Sonic Blue offers an eye-catching yet stylish option.
