The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, complete with a gig bag, stands out thanks to its Sunset Burst finish, as well as its 3-ply black pickguard and chrome hardware. It also comes with a gig bag included in the package. Especially for players looking for a Revstar with HH pickups, a set-in neck, and a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Stopbar tailpiece, this model offers a compelling and well-crafted foundation.

Body, Neck, and Construction

The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, including a gig bag, features a chambered mahogany body. This combination of materials and construction is one of the instrument’s key features and forms the foundation of its design. The body is complemented by a maple top. This combination gives the model a clearly defined identity within the Standard Series and makes its design philosophy immediately apparent.

The neck is made of three-strip mahogany and is set-in. Additionally, carbon reinforcement is mentioned as another technical feature of the design. This provides a precise and clear description of the construction of the Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, including gig bag. Anyone looking for an electric guitar with a clearly specified mahogany construction and a set neck will find a well-structured solution here.

Fretboard and Playing Style

A key feature of the Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, including a gig bag, is the rosewood fingerboard. This is complemented by White Lines fingerboard inlays and a fingerboard radius of 305 mm or 12". It also features 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, a scale length of 629 mm (24.76"), a nut width of 41.9 mm (1.65"), and a PPS nut. These specifications are among the clearly stated characteristics of the instrument and provide a precise understanding of its technical profile regarding the neck and fretboard.

It is precisely the combination of a rosewood fretboard, stainless steel frets, and a set neck with carbon reinforcement that results in a model whose playing characteristics are objectively and comprehensively described. Anyone looking for a Revstar with clearly specified dimensions and material data will find that the Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar (including gig bag) is a precisely defined instrument with modern standard features.

HH Pickup Configuration and Electronics

The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, including a gig bag, is equipped with an HH pickup configuration. This configuration is one of the instrument’s key technical features and clearly defines its electrical setup. If you’re looking for a Revstar with clearly specified humbucker pickups, you’ll find a precisely defined solution here.

Controls include a master volume knob and a master tone knob with a push/pull function for Focus. This is complemented by a 5-way switch. This electronics layout is clearly structured, making the Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar (including gig bag) straightforward to operate. The push/pull function for Focus, in particular, is one of this model’s standout features and complements the HH pickup configuration perfectly.

Hardware, String Set, and Gig Bag

The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 Sunset Burst electric guitar, including a gig bag, is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Stopbar tailpiece. This feature is one of the explicitly listed hardware specifications and adds an important component to the instrument’s basic configuration. It also features DieCast tuners and chrome hardware. The 3-ply black pickguard is also listed as a clearly specified feature.

The guitar comes factory-strung with Elixir Nanoweb Light strings in the gauges .010–.046. A gig bag is also included in the package. Together with the Sunset Burst finish, this results in a precisely described overall technical profile.
