The YDP-145 uses the sound of the world-class Yamaha CFX concert grand piano - a top-of-the-line grand piano that produces a very expressive sound with brilliant highs and powerful, resonant basses. Equally expressive is the YDP-145's individual sound - from the low keys to the high keys - full of brilliance and rich in colorful overtones. The result is an instrument of exceptional expressiveness and nuance, suitable for everyday practice as well as your most demanding performances.
Realistic playing and full control with the half-pedal unit.
With its 88-key piano action, the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy touch in the lower keys to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The flexibility and feel of a grand piano allow for quick repetitions and provide optimal control over expression. In addition, a half-position damper function is available to authentically replicate the damper action of a grand piano, allowing a wide range of expression variations.
Overtone resonance like a real grand piano - Virtual Resonance Modelling Lite (VRM LITE).
One of the most fascinating features of a grand piano is the unique resonance created by the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-145 creates this powerful resonance effect through a breakthrough technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). By simulating the complex resonances that occur when the vibrations of the strings are transmitted to the soundboard and the other strings, VRM Lite creates a varied sound. This process depends on the timing and intensity of playing on the keyboard and pedals.
Clear and powerful sound thanks to "Tone Escapement Contruction".
The YDP-145 uses a newly developed "Tone Escapement" technology on the rear panel that brings the sound from inside the piano to the outside in addition to the speakers. In this way, you experience the natural sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance just like an acoustic piano.
For intuitive operation, a variety of preloaded songs are available in combination with the Smart Pianist app.
In addition to authentic grand piano sounds, the YDP-145 also features various other instruments with a total of 10 sounds - including electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings. In addition, the YDP-145 has 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical pieces, and 303 extensive exercises based on famous methods such as those of Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app - simply download it to your smart device and connect it to the instrument. The Smart Pianist app lets you easily operate the instrument's various tuning functions and access the sheet music display of internal and external songs. It also has a comprehensive Piano Room function that lets you customize the sound quality and resonance settings for the piano sound to suit your needs.
