The powerful sound of the famous CFX

Newly sampled for the YDP-164, the 2.75 m long CFX concert grand piano produces fresh highs and punchy basses in a sound that penetrates the smallest corners of a concert hall. The CFX was played by the winner of the prestigious International Chopin Competition in 2010 and has since gained attention as one of the greatest concert grand pianos of today.

Authentic playing feel

The 88 keys of the Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard are covered with synthetic ivory and ebony. The keyboard reproduces the touch of an acoustic grand piano, from heavy in the bass range to lighter in the treble. The three sensors of the GH3 keyboard provide an excellent playing feel like an acoustic instrument and enable fast repetition, guaranteeing particularly expressive playing.

The YDP-164 guarantees a balanced sound at any volume you choose. Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) automatically adjusts the ratio of bass and treble. So you can enjoy full listening pleasure even at low volumes.

Thanks to the Stereophonic Optimizer, you can enjoy natural surround sound as if you were sitting in front of the instrument, even if you are wearing headphones. When you use this function, it sounds as if the sound is coming from the body of the instrument and not from the headphones. A very pleasant and natural sound experience.
