Newly sampled for the YDP-164, the 2.75m CFX concert grand piano produces clear treble and powerful bass in a sound that penetrates the smallest corners of a concert hall. The winner of the prestigious 2010 International Chopin Competition played on the CFX, which is why the piano has since been considered one of the best concert grands of our time.

Real playing feel

The 88-key keyboard of the Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) features top layers of synthetic ivory and ebony. It reproduces the touch of an acoustic grand piano from heavy in the bass range to light in the treble. With the help of the three sensors, the GH3 keyboard offers an excellent playing feel like an acoustic instrument and enables fast repetition, which guarantees particularly expressive playing.

The YDP-164's tonal balance is assured at any selected volume. IAC (Intelligent Acoustic Control) automatically adjusts the balance of bass and treble for full listening pleasure. This gives you full listening pleasure even at low volumes. Enjoy natural surround sound as if you were sitting right in front of the instrument, even when wearing headphones, thanks to Stereophonic Optimizer. When you use this feature, it sounds as if the sound is coming from the body of the instrument and not from the headphones. A very pleasant and natural sound experience.
