The compact 88-key weighted YDP-S35 is a new addition to Yamaha's ARIUS digital piano series. The integrated Yamaha CFX concert grand sound provides an exquisite and expressive playing experience on the GHS keyboard. The YDP-S35's piano sound was sampled from Yamaha's high-end CFX concert grand piano - a famous piano that combines radiant highs and powerful, resonant lows to create an expressive sound. From the low to the high key range, the YDP-S35 has the same individual sound full of brilliance and rich in colorful overtones. It gives you exceptional expressiveness and nuance, perfect for both your daily practice and your most moving performances.
Playability like an acoustic grand piano with full half-pedal control.
The 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard matches the feel of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy touch in the lower keys to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. As a result, the GHS keyboard provides the functionality and touch experience of a grand piano, allowing for quick repetitions and authentic expressive control. Additionally, a half-position damper function is available that authentically replicates the damper action of a grand piano, allowing a wide range of expressive variations.
Harmonic resonance like that of a grand piano - Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM LITE)
One of the fascinations of the grand piano is the distinctive resonance created by the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-S35 reproduces this powerful resonance effect through a breakthrough technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite creates a varied sound by simulating the complex resonances that occur when the vibrations of the strings are transmitted to the soundboard and other strings. This occurs according to the timing and intensity of playing on the keyboard and pedals.
A variety of built-in songs and intuitive operation with the Smart Pianist application.
In addition to authentic grand piano sounds, the YDP-S35 also features various other instruments with a total of 10 sounds - including electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings. The YDP-S35 also has 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical ones, and 303 comprehensive exercises from famous methods such as those of Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app - simply download it on your smart device and connect it to the instrument. With the Smart Pianist app, you can easily operate the instrument's various voice functions, allowing you to access the note display of both internal and external songs. It also has a comprehensive Piano Room function that lets you adjust the sound quality and resonance settings for the piano sound to suit your needs.

The YDP-S35 uses new technology that optimally adjusts the sound balance according to the volume you choose, for exceptionally natural sound that's easy on your ears, even when you're playing for long periods of time.
