The Adam Hall 8780 active ventilation unit is the ideal solution for automatic temperature control in 19" racks and cases with sensitive electronics. It effectively protects devices from overheating by actively supplying fresh air or removing warm air as required. Including power supply unit and temperature sensor, the unit is ready for immediate use and can be installed easily and flexibly.

Automatic control thanks to temperature sensor

The scope of delivery includes an external temperature sensor that automatically activates the ventilation unit at an ambient temperature of 40 °C. The sensor is equipped with a 1 meter long cable and 3.5 mm jack connection, allowing it to be positioned anywhere - ideal for targeted temperature monitoring within the rack or enclosure.

Switchable airflow direction for maximum flexibility

Depending on the application, the airflow direction can be set to either supply fresh air or extract warm air. This enables optimum adaptation to the respective device configuration and heat development. A status LED reliably indicates the current operating status of the fan unit.

Expandable - one power supply unit for up to three fan units

A major advantage of the Adam Hall 8780 is its expandability: up to three ventilation units can be operated simultaneously with just one power supply unit. The units are simply connected in series using the optional 8780LC connection cable. Ideal for complex systems or large cases with several heat generators.

Robust design and easy installation

The active ventilation unit is made of powder-coated steel and is therefore ideally suited for demanding use in mobile stage or touring operations. The six mounting holes with a diameter of 5.1 mm ensure a secure hold in housing walls or rack panels. The standardized installation dimensions make integration into existing systems particularly easy.

Compact dimensions, powerful effect

With an installation width of 150 mm, an installation height of 100 mm and an installation depth of just 42 mm, the unit is extremely space-saving. Despite its low weight of 438 g, it delivers powerful performance and actively contributes to the protection of your technical equipment.
