Algam Lighting LAL S400 Fog Machine 400W – Compact, efficient, and ideal for small events

Manufacturer: Algam Lighting – Special effects equipment for stage, events, and clubs

The Algam Lighting LAL S400 Fog Machine 400W is a compact and powerful effects unit that is particularly well-suited for small to medium-sized events. As part of the Algam Lighting effects series, this model is designed for DJs, mobile entertainers, event service providers, and smaller stages looking to create an intense fog atmosphere with minimal effort. The S400 is lightweight, quick to set up, and can be installed either on the floor or on a truss—ideal for flexible setups in a wide variety of environments.

Thanks to its ease of use and the included wired remote control, the S400 is particularly well-suited for beginners and occasional users, but it also impresses with reliable performance and solid build quality in professional settings.

Technical Details: Powerful fog output with a short warm-up time

Inside the LAL S400 is a 400-watt heating element that brings the machine up to operating temperature in just 4 minutes. Once heated, it delivers a fog output rate of up to 70 m³ per minute—enough to effectively fog smaller rooms or make beams of light strikingly visible.

The fog is emitted with a throw distance of about 3 meters, which creates dense, atmospheric effects—especially for stage or dance floor applications.

Continuous operation is possible for up to 2 minutes before the unit needs to warm up again. This makes the S400 ideal for targeted fog spot applications or short, dramatic show accents.

The built-in tank holds 250 ml and features a viewing window that allows you to check the current fluid level at any time. The machine is compatible with Algam Lighting’s FOG smoke fluids and, when used with them, produces a uniform and dense fog cloud.

Operation and Setup: Simple, Safe, and Portable

The S400 is operated via a wired remote control, which allows the fog output to be triggered precisely and as needed. This is particularly useful for stage performances, DJ sets, or specific special effects where precise control is required. The operating voltage is 100–240 V (50/60 Hz), making the device suitable for international use.

The S400 weighs just 1.8 kg and measures a compact 140 x 160 x 250 mm—perfect for portable use. Included in the package are a power cord with a Velcro cable tie, a sturdy bracket for mounting, and the wired remote control with connector.

The IP20 protection rating designates the device for indoor use only. For long-lasting, safe operation, the machine should be cleaned regularly and used with a suitable fog fluid.
