Aquila Super Nylgut 128U Low D (DGBE) Strings for Baritone Ukulele

Aquila Super Nylgut 128U Low D (DGBE) – Strings for baritone ukulele with low D tuning

Are you looking for high-quality strings for your baritone ukulele in DGBE tuning with a low D string? The Aquila Super Nylgut 128U were developed specifically for this purpose and offer you a balanced playing feel, excellent response, and a clear, defined tone.

Super Nylgut – the next evolution of classic nylon

The Super Nylgut blend developed by Aquila combines the best qualities of traditional nylon and gut strings. The result is a stable, durable, and resonant set of strings that impresses with a short break-in period and high tuning stability—ideal for musicians who expect reliable results right from the start.

Perfectly tuned for DGBE tuning

The Aquila 128U strings are designed for the D-G-B-E tuning, as found in the lower tuning of a guitar. This makes them ideal for guitarists looking to transition to the ukulele, or for baritone ukulele players who prefer this low tuning.

Wound bass strings for a rich sound

The low D and G strings are wound with silver-plated copper, which provides a rich bass foundation and a warm, full sound. At the same time, the higher strings retain their typical brilliance and clarity, resulting in a balanced tone.

Playing comfort and aesthetics in one

The smooth, soft surface of the Super Nylgut strings feels pleasant under the fingers—for beginners and experienced players alike. Visually, the strings impress with a elegant, mother-of-pearl sheen, which lends every instrument an elegant touch.

Made in Italy—quality you can trust

Like all Aquila strings, the 128U are manufactured in Italy—with the utmost precision and using carefully selected materials. Color-coded string ends make identification easier during stringing and ensure a stress-free string change.
