CHD Elektroservis SH101-M MIDI Interface f. Roland SH-101

SH101-M is a MIDI retrofit for the Roland SH-101 synthesizer. The unit allows the instrument to be controlled via MIDI as a MIDI expander. The interface works in one direction only - it receives MIDI data and converts it into analog control signals for the SH-101. The keyboard, sliders and switches of the SH-101 are not transmitted as MIDI data! The original characteristics of the Roland SH-101 instrument are not changed and it can be used in the same way as before installing the interface. The interface controls BENDER, LFO, VCO, VCF, VCA and CLOCK circuits of the SH-101, and all functions of the interface can be easily controlled via MIDI CCs. The interface also has a MIDI output with "Thru" function. It allows the connection of another MIDI device in chain. Optical display of the interface status can be defined by the user. All parameters of the interface can be programmed by the user. There are 32+1 memory banks for user settings.

• The keyboard range is 5 octaves, it can be transposed to the entire range of MIDI notes 0~127

• The instrument's LFO MOD switch can be controlled by the MIDI message Modulation (CC1)
• The BENDER of the instrument can be controlled by the MIDI command Pitch Bend (Wheel)
• Possibility to control the instrument's VCF and VCA directly via MIDI Control Changes (CCs)
• The instrument's sequencer and arpeggiator can be synchronized with MIDI clock
