Cort GA5F-FMH Open Pore Preamp Acoustic Guitar

Cort GA5F-FMH Open Pore Preamp Acoustic Guitar

The Cort GA5F-FMH Open Pore Preamp Acoustic Guitar from the Grand Regal Series combines thoughtful design with select tonewoods and professional electronics. The Grand Auditorium Cutaway body offers the perfect balance between volume and playing comfort—ideal for fingerstyle, strumming, and everything in between. With its open-pore finish, attractive wood grain, and high-quality features, the GA5F-FMH is a reliable companion for the stage, studio, and home.

Solid, ribbed mahogany for a warm, defined tone

The top, back, and sides are made of figured mahogany, which not only captivates visually with its grain but also delivers impressive tone. The solid top lends the tone depth, warmth, and a strong presence in the mids. Combined with the Advanced X-Bracing top bracing, this creates a balanced, open sound with good response and harmonious sustain—perfect for dynamic playing.

Optimal playability thanks to the Grand Auditorium cutaway

The GA5F-FMH’s body shape falls between a Dreadnought and a Concert, offering an excellent balance between rich tone and ergonomic playability. The cutaway facilitates access to the higher registers, while the 45 mm nut width is particularly well-suited for fingerstyle players. The scale length of 643 mm ensures pleasant string tension and comfortable fingering across all 20 frets.

High-quality materials for sound and playing comfort

The mahogany neck is laminated and, in combination with the ovangkol fingerboard, offers a direct response and a comfortable playing feel. The abalone fretboard inlays and the abalone rosette at the soundhole add elegant visual accents. The white binding stylishly rounds out the instrument’s appearance while also providing subtle protection for the edges.

Open-pore finish for natural resonance

The open-pore finish allows the wood to breathe and supports the instrument’s natural resonance. It gives the guitar a pleasant, organic feel and elegantly highlights the attractive grain of the quarter-sawn mahogany.

Professional Electronics with Fishman Presys

The integrated Fishman Presys electronics make the GA5F-FMH a powerful tool both live and in the studio. It features volume, bass, and treble controls, a built-in tuner, and a phase switch—all discreetly mounted on the upper edge of the side and easily accessible. The tone is reproduced clearly, with detail and dynamic range—without losing any of the natural character of the acoustic sound.

Reliable Hardware for Everyday Use

The nickel-colored, sealed tuners ensure stable tuning and smooth tuning operation. The bone nut and bridge insert improve sound transmission and contribute to precise intonation. The ovangkol bridge (non-scooped) ensures stable string action and blends harmoniously into the overall design.

Ready to play right out of the box with high-quality D’Addario strings

The GA5F-FMH comes factory-strung with D’Addario USA EXP16 Light (.012–.053) strings. These coated strings deliver brilliant tone, a comfortable playing feel, and long-lasting durability—perfect for regular use on stage or at home.
