Versatile presets & flexible sound design

The Exponent 500 comes with five pre-installed factory presets that are ready to use straight out of the box. These offer a wide selection of sounds for different musical styles and areas of application. But that's not all: the Darkglass Suite (available for iOS & Android) allows the amplifier to be fully personalized. This software allows presets to be created, edited, saved and shared with other musicians. This allows every bassist to design their own signal chain according to their individual preferences.

Preset switching is done via an easily accessible preset button, which can be used to quickly switch between the five stored sounds and a bypass mode. An LED display provides information about the currently selected preset. In addition, Bluetooth pairing can be activated by pressing and holding the preset button, allowing the amplifier to be connected wirelessly to the Darkglass Suite.

Intuitive operation with quick pots

The front of the amplifier is equipped with five quick pots, which are labeled with the letters A, B, C, D and E. By default, these controls are assigned to the four frequency bands of the amp EQ and a preset-specific control. This allows the sound to be adjusted quickly and easily without additional software.

However, if you want to delve even deeper into the sound design, you can individually assign the quick pots in the Darkglass Suite. For example, certain effect parameters can be controlled directly or additional sound changes can be made in real time. This flexible control makes the Exponent 500 particularly versatile and enables intuitive adaptation to different playing styles.

Precise volume control & muting

The master control can be used to precisely adjust the overall volume of the amplifier. This function is particularly useful for adapting the sound to different playing environments, be it a small rehearsal room or a large stage.

In addition, the Exponent 500 has a mute button that can be used to mute the physical outputs. As soon as the amplifier is switched to mute, all preset LEDs light up in a faint red, providing visual feedback on the current status.
