Multifunctional 10"/1" active speaker in plastic housing with 260 Watt power amplifier. Can be used as stage monitor, full range speaker in small applications or in combination with subwoofer.

Loudspeaker configuration

The extremely compact and, at 9kg, extremely light B-HYPE 10 is equipped with a 10" bass-midrange driver and a 1" compression chamber tweeter driver and is ideal for use as a tweeter unit in combination with a subwoofer or in stand-alone operation for speech, music or as a compact floor monitor.

Bi-Amp Digital Power Amplifier

The entire B-HYPE series is equipped with a modern, digital 2-channel power amplifier, which actively provides separate channels for the woofer and tweeter and has a peak power of 260 watts. Thanks to convection cooling, the power amplifier of the B-Hype 10 is fanless.

Internal DSP

The internal DSP has a high resolution of 56-bit and 48Khz and offers besides the active crossover incl. delay time adjustment, phase and frequency correction, two sound presets, "Flat" for neutral reproduction and "Boost" for increased bass reproduction.

Limiter for maximum operational reliability

Like all dBTechnologies active loudspeakers, the B-HYPE series features an input-side limiter for maximum operational reliability and high audio quality, even at the power limit. Both long-term and short-term overloads are detected and limited. Even in the event of overheating, the thermal limiter would intervene to prevent damage to the components.

Asymmetrical Tweeter Horn

Unique in its class, the asymmetrical tweeter horns of the B-HYPE series ensure optimized dispersion in the near and far field. Thanks to software-supported development and simulation, these tweeters guarantee a wide dispersion pattern in the near field (120°) and a reduced level loss at a distance (85°) due to the constriction of the tweeter horn, thus ensuring optimum sound distribution over the area to be sounded. The 25° upward limited dispersion angle reduces ceiling reflections.

High-quality multifunctional enclosure

The B-Hype series is manufactured from high-quality, extremely robust and UV-resistant polypropylene plastic. For a calm and professional look, the housing is equipped with a metal front grille. For easiest handling, the B-Hype series housing is equipped with a total of three handles, one on the top, two on the side. The 35mm stand flange allows for use on a speaker stand or distance rod. The beveled back with a 45° angle also allows for use as a floor monitor.

Connections and settings

The entire B-Hype series is equipped with a combo input jack that allows connection of both a 6.3mm jack and an XLR cable. A balanced XLR output is available for looping the signal through to other devices. The input sensitivity is switchable between "Line", for connection to mixers or other electronic devices, or "Mic" with increased sensitivity for direct connection of a microphone. The "Volume" control allows the adjustment of the input sensitivity and playback volume. Power is supplied via a 3-pin VDE socket.
