Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi 2 fuzz effect pedal for bass - classic muff sound with a powerful low end
The Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi 2 combines the legendary Big Muff fuzz circuit with additional functions especially for bassists. Based on the rediscovered dual-op amp circuit from the 1970s, this pedal delivers the typical Big Muff character with powerful sustain, a rough mid-range grind and a generous portion of gain - without losing the important bass range.
In collaboration with Josh Scott (JHS Pedals), the historic circuit has been reinterpreted and optimized specifically for bass. The result is a versatile fuzz sound that is convincing both in the studio and on stage.
Optimized for bass with blend and bass boost
In contrast to the classic guitar version, the Bass Big Muff Pi 2 offers additional sound controls that preserve the low frequency range.
- Blend mixes the unprocessed signal with the fuzz signal, providing clear definition and a stable bass foundation.
- Bass Boost specifically boosts the low-end and provides even more pressure in the sound.
Classic Big Muff controls
In addition to the bass-specific functions, the pedal also has the familiar Big Muff controls:
- Volume - determines the output volume
- Tone - shapes the sound from bass-heavy to treble-emphasized
- Sustain - controls the gain and sustain of the fuzz effect
Momentary and latching footswitch
The true bypass footswitch supports two operating modes. A normal click activates the effect permanently, while holding it down creates a momentary fuzz effect - perfect for short sound accents.

The pedal comes in a compact Nano housing from Electro Harmonix and fits easily on any pedalboard.
