ZLX G2 is the second generation of the phenomenally successful ZLX series of portable speakers. The ZLX G2 series builds on the best of what made the original ZLX series an industry icon, offering a range of features and functions at the highest level.

The outstanding audio quality that has made the ZLX the first choice for musical performance/playback and speech applications has been taken to a higher level with the ZLX G2. The maximum sound pressure level has been increased to 129 dB (ZLX-15P-G2) and high-quality components behind the grille ensure that the ZLX G2 offers impressive acoustic performance for everyday use. The woofer and compression driver in each ZLX G2 model are coupled with a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) waveguide that enhances low-frequency response and provides smooth vertical and horizontal dispersion across all frequencies - all in a more compact form factor. The ZLX G2 offers a sound that lives up to the Electro-Voice name.

The active versions of the ZLX G2 are "Powered by Dynacord" - featuring the premium electronics of Electro-Voice's sister brand. The highly efficient 1000-watt Class D power amplifier modules have an integrated four-channel digital mixer with three inputs and high-quality effects. The mixer has two XLR/TRS combo jacks and offers 24 V phantom power and Hi-Z compatibility. The mixer also offers professional features such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), ducking, compression, speaker delay settings and more.

Five system mode settings are available: Music, Live, Speech, Club and FRFR (full-range, flat frequency response). New to the ZLX G2 and unique in this product class is the FRFR setting, which provides a flat/neutral frequency response to achieve accurate results when used with modeling processors and guitar cabinet simulators. The ZLX G2 powered speakers also include Electro-Voice-specific subwoofer presets that adjust both gain and time alignment, resulting in complete acoustic optimization. Additional high-pass (HP) filters are available in the DSP to increase compatibility.
