EVANS Hydraulic Snare Heads deliver the fat, deep, and crisp sound pioneered by rock 'n' roll drummers in the 1970s. Manufactured with a thin layer of oil between two layers of 7-mil film (6.5 mil & 7.5 mil for Hydraulic Black), these frost-coated heads not only suppress unwanted overtones but are also known for being easy to tune. Hydraulics have a defined attack, a short sustain, and a dark tonal character—and, thanks to the Evans Frost coating, they also offer warmth, focus, and depth. This coated drumhead also features Level 360 technology.
