Fender Bassman Compressor

Fender Bassman Compressor - Precise bass control in a compact format

With the Fender Bassman Compressor, you get studio-proven dynamics processing for your bass signal - packed into a robust, pedalboard-friendly housing. This effect pedal was developed for bassists who value controlled volume progressions, consistent tone and musical feel. Inspired by classic Fender tube circuits, the Bassman Compressor offers silky RMS compression with intuitive operation and clever additional functions for everyday stage and studio use.

Fender Bassman pedals - vintage sound meets modern technology

The Bassman® pedal series from Fender combines analog warmth with modern DSP technology in a sophisticated pedal series for woofers. The Bassman Compressor is also based on the sound of classic studio rack compressors, but offers much easier operation - perfect for bassists who want to achieve a musically balanced sound quickly.

Technical highlights of the Fender Bassman Compressor

The RMS compressor circuit takes center stage, providing natural and silky dynamic control. The compression is musically soft and helps to smooth out peaks without affecting the playing feel. The ratio slider switch allows you to choose between two compression ratios - either for subtle smoothing or gentle limiting. The Release slider switch allows you to adjust the decay behavior according to style or playing technique.

Use the Comp and Level knobs to determine how much the signal is compressed and how loud the output signal is. The blend control mixes the compressed signal with the original signal - this gives you more clarity, dynamics and depth in the sound without the compressor "flattening" your sound.

Compact, well thought-out and suitable for the stage

The Bassman Compressor is equipped with a soft-touch footswitch that allows it to be switched on and off silently. The true bypass relay ensures that your signal remains completely unaffected when deactivated. Particularly practical: in the event of a power failure, the pedal automatically switches to bypass - a real plus for live use.

A pad switch on the side helps to optimally integrate active basses with a high output level by gently attenuating the input signal - so your sound stays clean and the compressor works efficiently. The top-mounted jack connections make the pedal particularly pedalboard-friendly and save space in your setup.

Why the Fender Bassman Compressor is worth it

The Fender Bassman Compressor is the perfect solution for bassists who need simple, reliable and musical-sounding compression in their setup. Thanks to its well thought-out features, tour-ready design and high-quality sound, the pedal is equally suitable for stage, studio and rehearsal room.
