Concert Flutes with closed-hole keys

Concert flutes with closed-hole keys are a type of concert flutes where the keys seal the finger holes completely when depressed. Playing is easier and they are especially convenient for beginners. There are two types of design that differ in the way the keys are attached. The in-line version has all of its keys arranged side by side. The offset version has its key for “G” placed nearer to the ring finger.

Aside from these types there are several varieties of concert flutes with particular features. Concert flutes, especially for beginners often possess a split E modification that allows to intonate e³ more easily.
