The Red SR is crafted from premium Sitka spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides. The beauty of the tonewood is emphasized by a resonance-enhancing high-gloss finish and a number of decorative details, most notably the koa binding and premium rosette, the abalone inlay in the headstock and the mother-of-pearl fretboard inlay. The guitar is supplied in an extremely hard-wearing, thermally insulated Hiscox case.

Unique voicing process

The premium character of the Red SR is underlined by the fact that both the soundboard and the back plate are individually tuned using the voicing process, a technology developed by Furch that raises the tonal characteristics of the guitar to the highest level. This gives the Red SR a crystal-clear, harmonically rich, balanced and highly dynamic sound across the entire sound spectrum.

Resonance-enhancing finish

The guitar is protected by a specially designed full-pore high-gloss finish, which is intended to emphasize the tonal qualities of the guitar. The finish consists of a wafer-thin, highly resistant layer of lacquer, which provides excellent surface protection and at the same time accentuates the structure of the wood.
