The Red SR is made of fine Sitka spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides. The beauty of the tonewood is emphasized by a resonance-enhancing high-gloss finish and a number of decorative details, most notably the koa binding and premium rosette, the abalone inlay in the headstock and the mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlay. The guitar is delivered in an extremely durable, heat-insulated Hiscox case.

Unique voicing process

The premium character of the Red SR is emphasized by the fact that both the soundboard and the backplate are individually tuned using the voicing process, a technology developed by Furch that raises the guitar's tonal characteristics to the highest level. As a result, the Red SR has a crystal-clear, harmonically rich, balanced and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.

Resonance enhancing finish

The guitar is protected by a specially designed full pore high gloss finish, which is designed to highlight the tonal qualities of the guitar. The finish consists of an ultra-thin, highly resistant layer of lacquer that provides excellent surface protection while accentuating the texture of the wood.
