Ibanez AAD54E-OMH Open-Pore Mahogany Sunburst Acoustic Guitar

Ibanez AAD54E-OMH Open Pore Mahogany Sunburst Acoustic Guitar

Are you looking for an acoustic guitar that combines warmth, dynamics, and playing comfort in a modern design? The Ibanez AAD54E-OMH in an elegant Open Pore Mahogany Sunburst is part of the Advanced Acoustic series and offers a balanced combination of traditional tonewood selection, innovative construction, and practical electronics—ideal for ambitious beginners and experienced musicians alike.

With a rich, expressive tone, ergonomic design, and the proven Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp, this model is perfectly suited for both acoustic playing and live performances.

Modern design meets traditional tonewoods

At the heart of the AAD54E-OMH is a solid African mahogany top, which delivers warm mids and clear, precise highs—ideal for singer-songwriters, folk, or fingerstyle. The body, crafted from Sapele for the back and sides, complements this tonal character with additional depth and richness. The open-pore finish highlights the natural wood grain and gives the guitar an organic, modern look.

The newly developed Grand Dreadnought body produces powerful volume, deep bass, and a well-rounded tone with great dynamics. Despite its size, it remains comfortable to play—whether sitting or standing—thanks to its well-thought-out ergonomics.

Playing comfort & control in every position

The Low Oval Grip neck made of okoumé with a satin finish offers a natural feel and comfortable playability in all positions. The Purpleheart fingerboard impresses both visually and sonically with its dense, resonant structure. With a scale length of 650 mm (25.6") and a stable neck-to-body transition at the 14th fret, playing becomes a comfortable experience—whether you’re strumming chords or playing solos.

The X-M bracing inside the guitar promotes excellent vibration distribution and delivers clear lows, warm mids, and pronounced highs—while also providing high stability and minimal feedback.

Innovative Sound Projection & Stage-Ready Electronics

A highlight is the A.I.R.port system, which directs the sound specifically toward the player—for better self-monitoring and a more direct playing feel. For live performances or studio use, the guitar is equipped with an Ibanez T-Bar undersaddle pickup and the AEQ-TP2 preamp. The latter features a 2-band EQ as well as a built-in tuner that can be read directly on the instrument.

The Purpleheart bridge, combined with the Ibanez Advantage™ pins, ensures excellent transmission of string vibration while also making it easier to change strings.

Conclusion: Natural, dynamic, expressive

The Ibanez AAD54E-OMH acoustic guitar is a versatile all-rounder for modern musicians who value a warm, detailed tone, excellent playability, and reliable electronics. With its open mahogany finish, high-quality craftsmanship, and thoughtful design, it’s an instrument that inspires—on stage, in the studio, or at home.
