Through intensive research and development, the A.I.R.port has been equipped with a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and directs them to exit from a precisely positioned sound hole. This allows players to hear what they are playing more clearly, enhancing the overall playing experience. After years of trial and error, Ibanez developed X-M bracing to create the ultimate sound that stands out on stage. The carefully designed Scalloped X-Bracing, Tone Brace arrangement and Finger Braces efficiently transmit string vibration across the bridge to the body. The X-M bracing provides a clear bottom end and crisp highs with trimmed, warm mids while still offering a wide dynamic range and high response. Designed for projection, balance and comfort, the AE offers the best of all worlds with its perfectly crafted, modern body shape. The guitar also features built-in treble and bass controls that can be used to adjust the tone, making the AE suitable for a wide range of applications for modern players. To achieve optimum playability, the neck has been specially designed with the Thin-C-Shape comfort grip and rounded fingerboard edge. The jumbo frets make it easier to grip.
