This combination of materials ensures a balanced sound characteristic with rich basses and clearly defined trebles. The continuous neck construction of 5-piece maple/walnut guarantees stability and improves sound transmission.

Perfect playability

The rosewood fingerboard is inlaid with abalone dots and offers a smooth, comfortable playing surface. With 24 medium stainless steel frets and the extra long scale (35"), the bass is ideal for technically demanding playing and deep tunings. The Zero Fret ensures an even sound quality across all strings.

The BTB946-COL is equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups, which deliver a powerful, detailed sound. The Ibanez Custom 3-band electronics enable precise tone control with controls for volume, blend, bass, mids and treble.
