Ibanez EWP16EWB-GAO Galaxy Aqua Open Pore Piccolo Acoustic-Electric Guitar, including gig bag

Ibanez EWP16EWB-GAO Galaxy Aqua Open Pore Piccolo Acoustic Guitar, includes gig bag

The Ibanez EWP16EWB-GAO is a truly unique acoustic guitar: compact like a ukulele, yet with the playing feel and tonal character of a genuine steel-string guitar. This Piccolo guitar from the EWP series impresses with its elegant design, full-featured electronics, and a brilliantly clear tone—ideal for practicing, traveling, or jamming in a relaxed atmosphere. And best of all: a matching gig bag is included.

Compact size, big sound

With a scale length of just 432 mm (17"), the EWP16EWB-GAO resembles a ukulele in appearance—but offers the playability and tuning of a classic acoustic-style guitar. The figured ash used for the top, back, and sides delivers a brilliant, balanced tone with clear highs and a responsive touch. The open-pore finish highlights the natural grain and gives the guitar an authentic, modern look.

Florentine Cutaway & Comfortable Neck

The Florentine cutaway allows for comfortable access to the highest registers—perfect for creative licks, melodies, and solos. The okoume neck with a purpleheart fingerboard feels comfortable and offers a stable, responsive profile. Despite its compact size, the playing feel is instantly familiar—ideal for guitarists looking for a handy alternative for on the go.

Stage-ready with powerful electronics

An Ibanez undersaddle pickup ensures precise sound transmission, supported by the AEQ-2U preamp with built-in 2-band EQ and digital tuner. The tuner can also be used without a cable plugged in—a handy feature for impromptu sessions or quick tune-ups on the go.

Practical, reliable, and easy to transport

The Purpleheart bridge ensures direct vibration transmission with a warm tone, while the Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins make changing strings easier and provide a secure hold. The included gig bag makes it easy to transport the guitar—perfect for traveling, busking, or impromptu performances.

Conclusion: Small guitar, big character

The Ibanez EWP16EWB-GAO offers a unique combination of compact size, high-quality craftsmanship, and full-featured electronics—ideal for musicians looking for a flexible, inspiring instrument for on the go or as a complement to their main setup. Its dazzling Galaxy Aqua finish also makes it a real head-turner on any stage.
