Meinl MDR-BK Drum Mat 160x200 cm – Sturdy Support for Your Drum Set
The Meinl MDR-BK Drum Mat 160x200 cm is the ideal surface for your entire drum set—whether at home, in the rehearsal room, or on stage. It ensures that your bass drum, pedals, and stands remain securely in place, while also protecting your floor and, thanks to its velour surface, allowing you to position your components exactly where you want them using Velcro markings.
A non-slip surface for the drum set is essential, especially during intense playing sessions or live performances. The MDR-BK reliably meets these requirements while offering a well-thought-out, practical design that meets professional standards.
Meinl – Well-designed accessories for drummers worldwide
Meinl is one of the world’s leading brands in percussion and drum accessories. The German brand stands for innovation, quality, and user-friendliness. In addition to cymbals, cajons, and percussion instruments, Meinl also develops professional accessories that make everyday life easier for drummers and percussionists—such as this high-quality drum mat.
The MDR-BK offers everything a modern drummer needs for a secure setup: slip resistance, stability, easy portability, and compatibility with custom setups.
Technical details of the Meinl MDR-BK drum mat
With a generous surface area of 160 x 200 cm, the mat offers ample space for a complete drum setup, including a double pedal, multiple cymbal stands, and a hi-hat. The rubberized backing effectively prevents slipping on virtually any floor surface—whether laminate, carpet, stage flooring, or tile.
The velour surface not only feels pleasant to the touch but also provides a secure grip for the individual components. The bass drum and stands remain stable without sliding forward—a problem many drummers know all too well. In addition, the surface is suitable for Velcro strips, which can be used to mark the perfect positioning of individual elements—ideal for consistent setups during regular setup and takedown or on tour.
The mat comes in a subtle black and thus blends unobtrusively with any stage or rehearsal room decor. Despite its size, the mat can be rolled up and easily transported or stored—another plus for mobile drummers.
Why the Meinl MDR-BK Drum Mat Is the Right Choice
A stable surface is essential for every drummer—the Meinl MDR-BK drum mat delivers exactly that with high quality and a well-thought-out design. With its non-slip rubber backing, durable velour surface, and the option to use Velcro markers, it meets all the demands of modern drumming.
Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or professional—this mat ensures a safe, reliable setup while protecting your floor. It’s easy to transport and, thanks to its neutral color scheme, offers a professional look for both stage and studio.
