Neumann TLM 102 ni Product Details
With the TLM 102 Neumann defines a new generation of Neumann studio microphones. That refers not only to the design of the mic, but even to the price. Through a reduced size the microphone is a compact solution that unifies all design components of a real Neumann mic.
Inside it works with a new developed large diaphragm capsule (cardioid) that allows the recording even of very loud sound sources like drums, percussions and amps through the maximum sound pressure of 144 db. Not extremely loud instruments can profit by the very fast transient playback of the TLM 102 as well, but the most important application area is voice and speech. A light uplift over 6 kHz guarantee an excellent presence of the voice in the total mix. The capsule is mounted elastically to depress the impact sound. An integrated pop protection avoids plosives while voice or speech recordings.
Because of its variable application areas and the price the TLM 102 is predestinated for the home recording, studio sector and broadcast area as well (especially when there have to be free sight on the speakers).
In the delivery a stand mount is included.
