NUX NDD-7 Tape Echo

The NUX TAPE ECHO pays homage to the Japanese Space Echo of 1974. Analog tape echo devices record incoming audio signals onto a magnetic tape loop and then play back the endless loop via the playback head before it is erased again by new incoming audio signals. Space Echo devices used the common 1/4-inch tape, but instead of being on tape reels, the tape is loosely contained in what is called a tape chamber (tape tank). This design results in lower noise, less pitch variation, and less tape wear. NUX TAPE ECHO uses core image technology to reproduce these characteristics.

The detailed pedal offers many adjustable parameters like Bass, Treble, Repeat Rate, Intensity, Echo, Volume, Reverb as well as physical tape characteristics like Wow, Flutter, Saturation. Even self-regeneration and self-oscillation can be adjusted.
