Ovation CE44-1-G Celebrity Elite Acoustic Guitar – Powerful Sound Meets Innovative Design

The Ovation CE44-1-G Celebrity Elite Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a high-quality acoustic guitar built for the stage that stands out from the crowd both visually and sonically. It comes from Ovation’s renowned Celebrity Collection, which stands for innovation, quality, and authentic live sound. With its striking sunburst finish, unique multi-soundhole design, and solid Sitka spruce top, it’s a true head-turner that also impresses with clear articulation, balanced tonality, and outstanding projection.

This acoustic guitar is designed for musicians seeking a reliable performance guitar with versatile tonal possibilities—whether for the living room, the stage, the studio, or the church. Its characteristic sound, marked by presence, brilliance, and warmth, makes it the ideal companion for singer-songwriters, guitar enthusiasts, and semi-professional musicians.

Ovation—A Pioneer in Acoustic Guitar Technology

Since its founding, the Ovation brand has made a name for itself with exceptional designs and innovative materials. Unlike classic acoustic guitars, many Ovation models feature a Lyrachord® back—a high-quality composite material prized for its tonal benefits, durability, and ergonomic shape. The Ovation CE44-1-G Celebrity Elite acoustic guitar stays true to this tradition and offers a unique combination of tradition and high-tech innovation.

Particularly noteworthy is the Multi-Soundhole System developed by Ovation. Instead of a single central soundhole, several smaller openings with laser-cut epaulets ensure better distribution of vibrations and more direct sound projection. This design significantly reduces feedback when amplified while preserving the natural acoustic sound—ideal for live performances.

Technical Details – Thoughtfully Engineered Down to the Last Detail

At the heart of the Ovation CE44-1-G Celebrity Elite acoustic guitar’s sound is a solid Sitka spruce top, which impresses with its refined tone and dynamic response. The scalloped, quartersawn X-bracing used supports the top in achieving optimal sound projection and gives the guitar both powerful bass and crystal-clear treble. The multicolored hardwood epaulets around the soundholes add stylish visual accents while also serving as structural reinforcement.

The medium-deep Lyrachord® body is designed for an ergonomic playing position and ensures excellent projection. Whether sitting or standing, the guitar rests comfortably against the body and delivers a smooth, balanced tone. The neck is made of nato wood and features an ovangkol fingerboard that is visually and tactilely appealing. Perloid dot inlays aid in orientation, while the bound fingerboard edge ensures a comfortable playing experience.

The scale length is 643 mm—ideal for guitarists seeking a balanced ratio between string tension and playability. The nut width is a comfortable 42.8 mm, which makes both chord playing and solo lines easier. The Ovangkol bridge contributes to natural sound transmission and harmonizes perfectly with the fretboard visually.

On the technical side, the guitar features a high-quality Ovation CP-100 Slimline pickup that captures even the subtlest nuances of your playing, which are then reproduced through the OP-4CT preamp system. This system features a 3-band EQ, gain and volume controls, as well as a built-in tuner and a battery level indicator—all easy to use and perfect for stage performance.
