Ovation CE48-1-G Celebrity Elite Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Tiger Eye Finish Meets Legendary Ovation Sound

The Ovation CE48-1-G Celebrity Elite Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines strikingly beautiful aesthetics with innovative design and professional electronics. With its breathtaking Tiger Eye-finished top and signature multi-soundhole design, it embodies the best that Ovation has to offer in the Celebrity series: an inspiring, articulate sound, an exceptionally comfortable Super-Shallow body, and a flexible preamp system for the stage, studio, or home.

This acoustic-electric guitar was developed for guitarists who expect the maximum in tonal depth, presence, and dynamics—both acoustically and when amplified—without having to compromise on playing comfort or aesthetics. The combination of a solid spruce top, Lyrachord® body, and OP4BT electronics makes the CE48-1-G a true performer with style.

Ovation – Innovation with Tradition

For decades, Ovation has stood for creative solutions in guitar making, particularly through the use of the Lyrachord body and the multi-soundhole concept. The Celebrity Elite series carries on this legacy—with high-performance instruments that impress with their modern design, brilliant sound reproduction, and ergonomic construction. The CE48-1-G sets new standards in this series, not only acoustically but also visually.

The combination of precision craftsmanship, high-tech materials, and sophisticated electronics results in an acoustic guitar that excels in any playing situation—whether you’re a singer-songwriter, play in a band, or share your music on social media.

Technical Details – Power of Sound Meets Comfort

At the heart of the CE48-1-G is the solid spruce top, reinforced with scalloped, quartersawn X-bracing. This combination ensures a quick response, rich dynamics, and a full, resonant tone with clear highs and controlled, focused lows—especially when paired with the special multi-soundhole system.

The striking, laser-cut multi-hardwood epaulets surrounding the off-center soundholes are not only a visual highlight but also support even vibration distribution across the top. The Tiger Eye finish impressively showcases the unique grain of the exotic maple top, making each guitar a one-of-a-kind instrument.

The Super Shallow Lyrachord® body offers excellent playing comfort, especially when standing or during longer gigs. Despite its shallow depth, the body delivers amazing sound projection and, thanks to its resistance to feedback, is perfectly suited for live performances.

The nato neck, with its satin finish, feels comfortable in the hand and, thanks to the bound ovangkol fingerboard, provides a smooth playing experience across all 20 frets. Perloid dot inlays provide visual guidance, while the oil-sealed Ovation chrome tuners ensure precise and stable tuning.

Stage-ready electronics—sound control at the touch of a button

The Ovation CE48-1-G Celebrity Elite is equipped with an Ovation Slimline pickup and the OP-4BT preamp system. This combination delivers a natural, balanced sound through any PA or monitoring system—with clear response, well-defined frequency ranges, and high resistance to feedback.

The preamp features a 3-band EQ, a volume control, a gain control, and a convenient built-in tuner with a battery indicator—perfect for live musicians who want to adjust their sound quickly and directly without needing external devices.

A Powerful Partner for Creative Guitarists

Whether on stage, in the studio, or at living room concerts—the CE48-1-G Celebrity Elite is a powerful, reliable instrument for guitarists who value style, flexibility, and sound fidelity. Its lightweight construction, combined with a powerful, open tone and professional electronics, makes it the top choice for musicians who travel frequently or are simply looking for a high-quality, reliable instrument.
