The PPD-52’s base plate is made of sturdy steel and features a non-slip rubber pad, ensuring it stays securely in place on a wide variety of stage and rehearsal room floors. In addition, two anchor spikes and a side clamping mechanism ensure a secure hold on the bass drum.

The dual chain drive via a sprocket ensures direct, even power transmission and delivers precise responsiveness—ideal for fast and dynamic patterns. The spring tension can be individually adjusted, as can the strike angle and the 540°-adjustable tilt mechanism, giving you maximum control over your playing feel.

Sound and Playing Comfort

The included 4-way mallets offer two different playing surfaces on each side—felt for a warmer, softer sound and plastic for more attack and punch. This lets you flexibly customize your sound without having to buy additional mallets.

The memory locks on the mallets allow for quick and precise repositioning, which is especially helpful when setting up your drum set or during frequent transport. The drive shaft ensures a stable connection between both pedals, while the optional spring assembly allows them to be separated into two individual pedals —perfect for flexible setups or when sharing equipment in the rehearsal room.
