Thorens TAB 1600 Absorber Base

Thorens Absorber Base TAB1600 was specially developed to produce an improved supportbase for turntables. The fabric layer made of acoustic foam, in a sandwich construction, provides additional cushioning. In combination with the base plate, the turntable is so excellently decoupled to prevent acoustic feedback. Contrary to the principle of coupling through spikes, which often negatively affects the sound quality through vibration coupling to the ground, we use the principle of decoupling with the TAB1600 to keep negative influences from structure-borne noise away from the turntable.
