Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst

Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst

Are you looking for an electro-acoustic acoustic-electric guitar with a compact concert cutaway body, clearly defined electronics, and high-quality wood construction? Then the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a precisely crafted instrument for the stage, rehearsal room, and acoustic performances. The Yamaha FSX830C BSB Brown Sunburst acoustic-electric guitar features a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, a cutaway body, and a built-in pickup system. It is precisely this combination that makes the model particularly appealing to players looking for a compact acoustic guitar with a direct amplification option.

Yamaha’s proprietary piezo pickup under the bridge and the analog System66 preamp ensure solid performance when plugged in. The small and slim body is not only particularly well-suited for female or young players, but also for musicians with an intermediate to advanced fingerpicking style. Anyone looking for an electro-acoustic guitar with a compact design, clearly specified dimensions, and precisely described electronics will find this to be a compelling model.

Concert Cutaway Body and Materials

The Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst features a Concert Cutaway design. This body shape is one of the instrument’s key features and ensures a comfortable and manageable design. This is complemented by a solid spruce top, which forms the foundation of the sound. The back and sides are made of rosewood. This combination of materials is clearly specified and gives the model a distinctly defined acoustic character.

Visually, the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is enhanced by its gloss finish, black body binding, and Brown Sunburst color. It also features a black-and-white soundhole inlay and a tortoise-pattern pickguard. Together, these elements result in an instrument that is clearly and fully defined in both its construction and appearance.

Neck, Fingerboard, and Dimensions

The neck of the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is made of nato and features a matte finish. This specification of materials and finish complements the body construction by providing a clearly defined foundation for a comfortable playing experience. Precise specifications for the neck are particularly important for a compact concert cutaway guitar, and these are clearly stated here.

The fingerboard is made of rosewood and has a radius of R400 mm or 23 5/8". It also features a scale length of 634 mm (25"), a nut width of 43 mm (1 11/16"), and a string spacing of 10 mm. The nut is made of urea. These dimensions and material specifications complete the technical profile of the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst regarding the neck and fingerboard, making the instrument’s playing characteristics immediately apparent.

Electronics with SYSTEM66 and SRT Pickup

A key feature of the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is its electronic setup. The instrument is equipped with SYSTEM66 and an SRT pickup. The description also highlights that a proprietary piezo pickup under the saddle and an analog SYSTEM66 preamp ensure solid plug-in performance. This setup is particularly relevant for stage and amplified applications.

Controls include volume, a 3-band EQ, a tuner, and a mid-frequency control. This electronics setup is clearly organized and complements the instrument’s acoustic design effectively. For those seeking an electro-acoustic acoustic guitar with a directly integrated amplification solution and a clearly labeled control section, the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst offers a precisely engineered solution.

Bridge, Hardware, and String Set

The Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is equipped with a rosewood bridge. This is complemented by bridge pins made of black ABS with white dots. These features are among the explicitly listed hardware specifications and effectively round out the instrument’s design. Added to this are die-cast chrome TM29T tuners, which clearly define the model’s hardware configuration as well.

The string gauges are listed as .012/.016/.025 (or .024)/.032/.042/.052 (or .053). Together with the Brown Sunburst color scheme, the body’s gloss finish, and the matte neck finish, this results in a precisely defined overall profile. If you’re looking for an electro-acoustic acoustic guitar with a solid spruce top, rosewood for the back, sides, fretboard, and bridge, as well as a SYSTEM66 + SRT pickup, the Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst is a clearly defined model.
