The solid alder body in the classic Pacifica double-cutaway design ensures comfortable handling, while the HSS pickup configuration delivers an impressive range of sounds, from vintage to rock.

The Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar, model 112VM GR, is part of the Pacifica 100 Series and is designed as a right-handed, 6-string guitar. This model offers a compelling foundation, especially for players looking for a well-equipped instrument with versatile sound options. The split-capable humbucker, Alnico V pickups, and vintage-style vibrato add exactly the features that are particularly sought after in this series.

Body and Playability

The Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar features an alder body and an ST-style body shape. This construction forms the foundation of the instrument and is directly associated with comfortable handling in the product description. The signature Pacifica double-cutaway design complements the shape and underscores the clear focus on comfortable playability and versatility.

The Gray color and the gloss polyurethane finish give the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Gray electric guitar a distinctly defined visual appearance. This is complemented by a white, three-ply pickguard. Together, these elements result in an electric guitar that is clearly defined in both its construction and exterior design and focuses on its specified features.

Neck and Fretboard

The neck of the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Gray electric guitar is made of maple and is bolt-on. The neck finish is specified as satin polyurethane. These features are among the instrument’s key construction specifications and complement the alder body with a clearly defined neck configuration. Anyone looking for an electric guitar with objectively described neck specifications will find a clear and precisely described solution here.

The fingerboard is also made of maple and has a fingerboard radius of 350 mm. It also features white dot inlays, 22 medium frets, a scale length of 25.5" or 648 mm, and a urea nut. The nut width is specified as 41.0 mm. This gives the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar a clearly defined profile in the neck and fretboard areas.

Versatile Electronics with Coil Split

A key feature of the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar is its HSS pickup configuration. An Alnico V humbucker, which is splittable, is used at the bridge. An Alnico V single-coil is located in the middle position, and an Alnico single-coil in the neck position. According to the description, this combination delivers an impressive range of sounds, from vintage to rock. The split-capable humbucker, in particular, significantly expands the tonal options and makes the instrument exceptionally versatile.

The pickup selector is a 5-way switch. It also features 1 volume control and 1 tone control with a push-pull coil split. When the tone control is pulled up, the humbucker splits, producing single-coil sounds for even greater flexibility. This means the electronics of the Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar are clearly structured and fully described.

Hardware and Features

The Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar is equipped with a vintage-style vibrato bridge. The description highlights that the vintage tremolo offers a smooth, responsive feel and excellent tuning stability. The heavy block saddles deliver a rich, deep sound and good sustain. This is complemented by die-cast tuners and chrome hardware, which nicely round out the instrument’s technical profile.

Another feature is the ring-mounted rear pickup, which is mounted directly onto the body. This configuration captures body resonance and delivers a tone with greater dynamics than a pickup mounted on the pickguard. The Yamaha Pacifica 112VM RL Grey electric guitar comes factory-equipped with 0.009–0.042-gauge strings. A gig bag or case is not included. This ensures that the scope of delivery is clearly and unambiguously described.
