Then the Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue Electric Guitar is an interesting choice for anyone looking for a straightforward instrument with a versatile sound and striking looks. Yamaha’s Revstar Element RSE20 is an update to the original Revstar guitar series, refined to offer improved comfort and an even more eye-catching design. This model offers a compelling foundation, especially for players looking for a modern electric guitar with clearly defined features.

The Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue electric guitar is designed as a left-handed model and combines a lightweight, chambered mahogany body with a set mahogany neck. It also features two Yamaha Alnico V humbuckers, which deliver a versatile tonal palette with rich midrange punch. The push-pull high-pass “Dry” switch tightens up the bass and treble for greater tonal clarity, adding another distinct tonal option to the humbucker setup.

Body, Neck, and Construction

The Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E-guitar is a double-cutaway model featuring an ultra-comfortable, lightweight chambered mahogany body. These material and design specifications are among the instrument’s key features and form the foundation of its construction. The color is specified as blue, or “Swift Blue,” complemented by a gloss polyurethane finish. This results in a clearly defined visual and design identity within the Revstar series.

The neck is made of 3-piece mahogany and features a set-in construction. The neck finish is described as satin polyurethane. The description also highlights that the mahogany set neck with double cutaway offers incredible access to the upper frets. Thus, the Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E-guitar remains precisely and objectively described in terms of its neck and body specifications.

Fretboard and Playing Feel

A key feature of the Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E guitar is its rosewood fingerboard. This is complemented by dot fingerboard inlays, 22 jumbo-sized frets, and a 12" fingerboard radius. These specifications are among the clearly stated characteristics of the instrument and make the fretboard profile easy to understand. Added to this are a scale length of 628.6 mm and a nut width of 41.9 mm.

The nut is made of PPS, and the guitar is equipped with a truss rod. The guitar comes factory-strung with Elixir strings in the gauge 010" / 046". These specifications round out the technical profile of the Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E guitar in terms of the neck and fretboard, clearly defining the instrument’s playing characteristics.

Alnico V Humbuckers and Dry Switch

The Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E-guitar is equipped with two Dual Alnico V humbucker pickups. Specifically, it features a VH3B Alnico 5 humbucker at the bridge and a VH3N Alnico 5 humbucker at the neck. According to the description, this pickup combination produces a classic full-range humbucker punch with rich mids. Anyone looking for a left-handed electric guitar with a clearly specified HH pickup configuration will find a precisely tailored solution here.

In addition, the instrument features Yamaha’s push-pull high-pass “Dry” switch. This tightens up the bass and treble for greater tonal clarity and is described as a solution that offers nearly the same articulation-enhancing qualities as a good coil split, but without hum. Together with the volume and tone controls, as well as the 3-position pickup selector switch, this results in a clearly organized electronics layout with clearly labeled functions.

Hardware and Features

The Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E-guitar is equipped with a Tune-o-Matic bridge. It also features die-cast tuning machines, a standard strap button, and passive pickups. These features are among the explicitly listed hardware and specification details of the instrument and complement the body, neck, and electronics features effectively. Especially for players who value a precisely described set of basic features, this model remains straightforward and clearly defined.

The guitar is part of the Revstar series and comes without a gig bag or case. It is not battery-powered. Anyone looking for a left-handed electric guitar with a chambered mahogany body, a set-in mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard, two Alnico V humbuckers, and a push-pull dry switch, the Yamaha Revstar RSE20L Element Series Swift Blue E-Guitar offers a precisely defined model with modern aesthetics and clearly described specifications.
