Zoom WSU-2

Zoom WSU-2

Are you looking for a universal windscreen that reliably reduces wind noise during recordings? The Zoom WSU-2 is a practical windshield for select Zoom microphones and accessories. It was designed to extremely effectively reduce distracting wind noise, enabling cleaner recordings outdoors or in fast-paced recording situations.

Wind noise can quickly become a problem, especially during mobile recording sessions. Whether for interviews, field recording, video shoots, ambient recordings, or news reports: even slight air movements can produce low-frequency noise and impair intelligibility or sound quality. The Zoom WSU-2 helps minimize these disturbances and makes the recording sound more controlled.

As a universal windscreen, the Zoom WSU-2 can be used with the MicTrak M3, SGH-6, SSH-6, and ZSG-1. This makes it a useful addition for anyone working with these compatible Zoom products who wants to better protect their recordings from wind or air movement.

Effective Reduction of Wind Noise

The Zoom WSU-2 reduces wind noise extremely effectively. This is particularly important when recordings are not made under controlled studio conditions. When shooting outdoors, during camera movement, or in changing environments, a windscreen can play a crucial role in reducing distracting background noise.

Thanks to its universal design, the Zoom WSU-2 is highly versatile. It enhances recording quality by protecting the microphone capsule from direct airflow. This makes it particularly well-suited for mobile setups that require compact equipment and quick deployment.
