Artiphon Orba

The Artiphon Orba is a portable synthesizer, looper and MIDI controller that fits in the palm of your hand. The minimalistic design in game controller style is an invitation to take the device in your hand and create music intuitively with your fingers and hand movements. Eight touchpads respond to the slightest touch and also recognize a variety of gestures such as taps, swipes and vibrato. The integrated sound engine features a 4-part polyphonic synthesizer with subtractive and physical modeling sounds, allowing for a wide range of drum, bass, chord and lead sounds. In addition, the accelerometer and gyroscope also enable multi-dimensional movements such as waving, tilting and shaking, ideal for controlling other sounds and effects.

Orba's built-in looper lets you create and play songs with multiple sounds in seconds. 4 tracks (Drums, Bass, Chords and Lead) are available for this purpose. Orba can be played standalone using the integrated sound generator and onboard speakers, but also connects wirelessly to mobile devices and computers via Bluetooth MIDI. The USB port is available for charging, USB MIDI and connection to the Orba app.

Orba is compatible with iOS, Mac, Windows and Android, as well as all major DAWs including GarageBand, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Cubase, StudioOne and FL Studio.
